Text message and SMS e-mail message settings
The message settings affect the sending, receiving, and viewing of
messages. To change the settings:
1. Select
Menu

.
2. Select
Sending profile
, and if more than one message profile set is
supported by your SIM card, select the profile you want to change.
Select from the following settings:
•
Message centre number
to save the phone number of the
message center that is required for sending text messages. You
receive this number from your service provider.
•
Messages sent via
to select the message type:
Text
,
,
Paging
, or
Fax
.
•
Message validity
to select the length of time for which the
network attempts to deliver your message.
•
Default recipient number
to save a default number for sending
messages for this profile if you have selected the message type
Text
. Select
E-mail server
to save the e-mail server number if you
have selected the message type
.
•
Delivery reports
to ask the network to send delivery reports about
your messages (network service).

Use GPRS

Reply via same centre
to allow the recipient of your message to
send you a reply using your message center (network service).

Rename sending profile
to change the name of the selected
message profile. The message profile sets are only displayed if
your SIM card supports more than one set. You cannot rename
the default profile.
